Samsung have joined forces to provide the recently opened Open Camp, the first park in the world dedicated to sport, with an impressive display of almost 200 screens, including video walls, totems, monitors for signaling and video-markers indoor and screens LED exterior. Located in the facilities of the Olympic Ring of Barcelona, Open Camp offers experiences associated with sport and entertainment, using the latest technologies to make possible an attractive mix between the virtual and the real.
The idea is that visitors can experience firsthand the emotions of participating in sports of all kinds in real scenarios where have competed some of the greatest legends of the sport, as if they were participating in a real competition, with all the technological elements and environment that make it up.
Angel Miguel Herrero, director of IT Channel Samsung in Spain, tells us the importance of audiovisual Open Camp: "This is a theme park where there has been much focus on the visual aspect, and therefore has a number of unpublished screens in Europe. "
He adds: "Sport and image go together to the general public, since its dissemination is made possible through television broadcasts. Olympic sponsor is Samsung, we thought we could not be absent in this park that combines technology and sport. "
Samsung has been the exclusive provider of all display technology Open Camp, besides being sponsor of the field. Meanwhile, Charmex has dealt with the work of presales engineering and technical support, as well as global advice on the integration of content and displays. Eikonos has taken charge of the installation and commissioning of all equipment.
The first Open Camp display can be seen outside the park, above the lockers. This is an impressive outdoor LED screen in linear format of 35 meters long by 0.9m high and 10 mm pixel pitch covering an area of 32 square meters and serves an informative for newcomers.
Once inside the field, the Open Hall welcomes visitors with almost 80 screens Samsung UD55E-P lining the lobby in different video walls, providing information on the park's attractions, informative videos and advertising content of the main sponsors.
There is also a large number of screens and high brightness totems scattered throughout the park that serve as signage to guide visitors and provide information on the various attractions of Open Camp, as well as restaurants, bars and shops available. In this case the digital signage displays Samsung DM32E, DM40E, DM48E, DM65E and OH55D are used.
