The old and emblematic factory familiar beers Moritz Barcelona, ​​opened in 1856 and closed in the 70s, has undergone a dramatic transformation of the hand of the French architect Jean Nouvel, which has turned its 4,500 m2 in a gastronomic, cultural and leisure space in which audiovisual technology firm Christie projection is one of its key elements.

More than seven years has lasted the transformation of the centennial Factory Moritz Barcelona (FMB), the oldest beer brand in the Iberian Peninsula which ran between 1856 and the 70s, to become today in an advanced gastronomic center, cultural and leisure has had a more than thirty million euros investment. The rehabilitation of this iconic industrial installation of the custom of the Moritz family by French architect Jean Nouvel, who has done a remarkable job in the 4,500 m2 of the three farms in the round of Sant Antoni, in the heart of Barcelona, ​​where stands factory. In this hard work, the architect has preserved the centuries-old structure, vaulted cellar, tanks reinforced concrete manufactured in the 20s, has been restored a bottling 50, among other elements, combining old elements and "a representation of the modernity of the XXI century, with spaces microplaceres "as he defines himself. The factory has been transformed into a unique space, divided into three floors, with specific and innovative spaces around gastronomy, culture and leisure for all kinds of activities.
