Published in: Digital AV Magazine This room, a kind of auditorium and the epicenter for meetings, training sessions, and internal product presentations, had begun to lose its functionality. The previous video wall, with a 5x5 configuration, was losing intensity, and some panels had malfunctions that hampered visibility. Although it featured a very thin bezel system, given these limitations and considering the possibilities offered by the latest solutions on the market, it was decided to install a Samsung IEA series LED screen with a 2.5mm pixel pitch and dimensions of 4.8 x 2.7 meters.
The process began with a testing phase using a rented LED screen to evaluate the solution's suitability under real-world conditions. Thanks to technical advice from
Sound and Systems Audiovisuales —which also manages rentals—they confirmed which LED screen was the right choice for their room, validating key aspects such as the required pixel pitch. Furthermore, the rental served as a temporary solution while the previous video wall was out of service.
According to Sound and Systems Audiovisuales, another key factor was space optimization: they sought a solution that required no construction work, taking advantage of the existing structure. The chosen Samsung panels fit perfectly into the space left by the old system, allowing for a clean installation without any significant structural interventions.
The installed screen measures 4.8 x 2.7 meters, achieved using 5x5 modules from the IEA series. The cabinet size allowed for a perfect 16:9 aspect ratio, and together with a single, continuous, frameless surface, it has enhanced the viewing experience and reinforced the company's brand image. The visual improvement has been remarkable: not only has the brightness and image quality increased, but the overall aesthetic of the auditorium has also been modernized. Samsung's IEA series offers exceptional image quality, with a fine pixel pitch and 500 nits of brightness. Furthermore, its lightweight design and front-facing maintenance make both installation and daily use easier, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
Currently, the LED screen is used for internal meetings and training sessions, on average twice a week. New this year, it has also been integrated as a background for some content on SesdermaTV, the corporate audiovisual channel that features live broadcasts.
