The Microlife in CosmoCaixa


CosmoCaixa Madrid hosts the exhibition 'Microlife. Beyond the human eye ', a scientific, informative and very interactive show, that in a space of 800 m2 shows visitors the importance of microscopes and scientific microscopy for the study and observation of nature, when it is impossible to see the naked eye.

The exhibition will be open until March 2013, it shows how thanks to the advancement of science and technology can get into such a tiny world that need a million inhabitants to occupy the same volume as the head of a pin.

Visitors can observe more than 31 audiovisual productions, more than 40 large-format photographs and a multitude of real samples of numerous examples of animals and microscopic plants such as mosquito larvae, lice, water fleas, algae, polychaete, diatoms, hydroids, protozoa, etc. increased up to 10,000 times.
