The matrox vion series is a family of multi-channel ip gateways designed for video production, distribution, and conversion in broadcast, enterprise, and streaming environments. They enable the reception, processing, and delivery of 4k/1080p signals between ndi, srt, ipmx, and st 2110-22 protocols with low latency. They unify the management of baseband and ip signals, reducing external hardware and simplifying interoperability between systems.

• Multichannel conversion, encoding, decoding and transcoding between ndi, ndihx3, srt, rtsp/rtp, mpeg-ts, ipmx and st 2110-22.
• Compatibility with h. 264, hevc 4:2:0/4:2:2/4:4:4 10-bit, jpeg xs up to 2000 mbps and ndi/ndi hx.
• Supports 4kp60 in jpeg xs, ndi “full” and up to 2× 4kp60 in h. 264/h. 265, plus 8× 1080p60 depending on the format.
• Advanced features: hd↔4k upscaling, deinterlacing, frame rate conversion and color space change (bt. 709/bt. 2020/srgb).
• Integrated hdmi preview with side-by-side and quad-split modes plus ip monitoring streams.
• Professional ip management with nmos is-04/05 for discovery and routing in ipmx and st 2110-22 networks.

• Vion ex: baseband inputs (2× hdmi mini, 2× 12g sdi, balanced and unbalanced audio), 2× hdmi outputs, plus usb ports.
• Vion nx: optimized model for ip workflows only, more compact and lightweight, without baseband inputs.
