The dvi4k-f extender consists of a dvi4k-f transmitter (computer tx, source) and a dvi4k-f receiver (monitor rx, display). It uses the dvi-d (18+1) media interface and enables extended transmission of 10g high-speed uncompressed and lossless video over optical fiber. The optical path uses bi-directional wavelength division multiplexing technology wdm of a single fiber to guarantee the electrical isolation of the differential tmds of origin and display equipment, avoiding the impact of noise with the grounding circuit and without delay of the video signal. Compared with the traditional transmission via twisted pair cables, it has many advantages, such as no attenuation, strong resistance to interference, high signal confidentiality, high stability, hot swapping protection, long transmission distance and the absence of signal loss due to changes in the external environment.
